Out in La Jolla I had a MacBook Pro that wouldn't boot. In windows I
would run check disk, so let's play what's the mac way. The start up
in single user mode is control + s. When you get to a prompt type fsck
-y . Before you know it you are repaired and if the hard disk is just
corrupt, you are back in business!
