This quick fix requires that you manually modify the Windows registry. Unless you are comfortable making these changes, I would ask for professional assistance. Making improper changes to the Windows registry can have unexpected results.
1) Open regedit.
2) Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
3) In the DefaultUserName make sure it is current set to the username you wish to log in as.
4) Next, in the DefaultPassword type the password you use to login. If you do not see this, create a new String Value with this name.
5) Next, open AutoAdminLogon and set the value to 1. If you do not see this, create a new String Value with this name.
6) Finally, once all values have been set close regedit and restart the computer.
If you are running Windows XP Home Edition, this should work as well, but is more risky than disabling the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” option in the “control userpasswords2″ menu.
