Wireless Woes?
Maybe It's Time For An Upgrade!
Things are constantly changing, advancing and improving in computer land, and wireless home/office networks are no exception. 10 years ago, having a wireless internet connection in your home or business could have meant that you had an entire 15 feet of freedom in which you could move without your internet signal dropping out. These days, it's a whole lot more.
Many times, a single wireless router can cover your entire home with a wireless signal that can have you racing across the web effortlessly. Sometimes, it takes a little wizardry to make it work just right.
With today's wireless network technology, just about anything is possible. Today, not only can you get a better range out of your wireless connection, but you can also stream movies and TV shows wirelessly to your living room TV much more.
If your wireless internet is giving your headaches, or maybe you're ready to make the jump from wired to wireless, give us a call and we'll help you free yourself from restrictions of wires or a spotty internet connection.

Tech: Hot or Not
Like anything else, there are brands and models of products that just work, and some... not so much.
Here is our current list of what is hot and what is not for the most popular printers on shelves today.
Our Favorite: Pixma MX340
Brother Brother is our runner up for best and most reliable printer. They're just as reliable as Canon printers in our opinion, but a hair less expensive, for the most part. Good value!
Our Favorite: MFC-J265w
Printers that are NOT HP (Hewlett Packard) Time and time again, we see HP printers causing problems from simply not printing, to making it just short of impossible to even get them installed in the first place. We recommend avoiding these printers, if possible. |

Registry Optimizers = Bad News for your Computer!
Do you often find yourself staring at your computer monitor while you watch your computer come to a ginding halt? Does a simple click turn into minutes of waiting? It can be unbearable!
We know how tempting it can be to ask Google, "How can I speed up my PC?" and when we see a result that promises a "faster computer" and a free program that can "eliminate registry errors", it seems pretty great... but beware!
We see a lot of computers in bad shape... and I mean A LOT! And although the causes run the gamut, we can't even begin to tell you how many times at the root of the problem, a Registry Booster, Registry Optimizer or a Registry Cleaner is to blame.
The Windows registry is a sensitive set of instructions that tells your computer how to do just about everything. One bad move from a "registry optimizer" and poof... no Windows.
Sometimes, the damage can be repaired without a loss of files or settings, but many times the damage can result in a complete reload of Windows.
In addition to the risky nature of these registry cleaners, do you know the website you're downloading from? Many "Free Antivirus" or "Free Registry Cleaners" are riddled with spyware and viruses... so don't leave it to chance. Call your favorite Wizard and ask them their recommendation or set up a time for a technician to come out, and show you how to maintain your PC the right way!
We hope these tips have been helpful and will help improve your computer experience. If there is anything you'd like added or answered in our next newsletter, e-mail us!
