I just got worked all day….. nasty virus, many many false positives. But ultimately as silly as it sounds… just a bad toolbar.

A bogus google toolbar would redirect google searches. Annoying too was the fact that it was only ever 10th search or so, so it almost seemed like it was fixed. I use “firefox in safe mode” to verify and disable and reset all the google searches.
I could search for basic things like ‘chevy’ and ‘toyota’ and all kinds of doubleclick.net stuff would be in the status bar.
Anyway, fixed 5 hrs later. I did other stuff too, but 3 hrs on this easy!
