Initial impression : Layout is very similar to iGoogle. News feed boxes are more defined. "Tabbed" sections allow for more genre specific news like sports, technology, money, health, etc. Layout preferences have helpful resolution labels! Drag n' Drop organization.
Recommend : Microsoft based email account. I used my @outlook.com address for testing. This will save your layout and preferences. Otherwise you get the generic "editor's choice".
What I like : Fully featured replacement for iGoogle. Intuitive tabs, customization, and drag n' drop organization. Add content is incredibly rich with items you can add to your page. No blatant ads. Calendar and Inbox previews for MS email users. Bing search bar is clear as day- can't miss it.
What I don't like : Fox, Fox, MSN, Fox, & MSN : It lacks variety in sources for news. Tabs are not true tabs- they go to a different web pages. Not Google search. That is unfair to MSN, but that's what it is to be #2 search engine.
Verdict : Excellent. Why is this not a feature in Windows 8? 8/10

An interesting alternative to iGoogle is also Startific. It displays icons and widgets, connects all your favorite links and all your bookmarks, etc and organize them into a pretty nice interface, like you probably haven't seen in a quite while, check it if you want at www.Startific.com
